Remington Rand 1911 45 Auto

Make: Remington Rand Model: 1911 Caliber: 45 Auto Action: Semi Bore: Bright Serial # 139687 Condition: Very Good Offered here is an exceptional, historically significant piece of American military heritage: a U.S. Army Model 1911A1 combat pistol, sourced directly from the government through the prestigious Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).This specific firearm features a late-war production Remington Rand frame combined with an Ithaca Gun Company slide. In the theater of World War II, firearms that saw combat or returned to arsenal maintenance depots commonly underwent standardized military parts swapping. Because components from Colt, Remington Rand, and Ithaca were manufactured under identical ordnance tolerances, parts mixing was standard practice during field servicing and arsenal reworks to ensure firearms remained combat-ready. This configuration represents an authentic "as-issued" configuration directly tracing back to its military service and its subsequent release via the CMP pipeline. The right side of the frame features the standard U.S. property stamps and serial number 139687. The slide displays the distinct, crisp roll-stamps of the Ithaca Gun Co. Please see Photos!
