19th Century Advertising Trade Cards and Engravings Lot

Description

Late 19th-century paper ephemera. The highlight is an original advertising trade card for "Dr. J. H. Schenck & Son's Family Medicines," dated 1876, promoting remedies for various ailments and displaying both floral lithography and company details from Philadelphia, PA. The card also indicates it was issued as part of "Schenck's Almanac." The reverse adds branding but shows staining and wear. Also included are additional chromolithographed trade cards, one promoting "White is King" sewing machines, and a partial black-and-white engraving marked "Patti Rosa." These pieces reflect the era's popular marketing and printing styles and are significant for collectors of Americana and advertising memorabilia.
