The dramatic scene depicts Spitfires of No. 443 Squadron near Alençon, France, on June 23, 1944, engaging German Fw 190 fighters during the Normandy campaign. This example bears seven pencil signatures, including artist Robert Taylor and six WWII RAF/Commonwealth fighter pilots. Signatures include: Robert Taylor (artist) Johnnie E. Johnson Desmond Sheen Earl Anderson Harold M.
