Antique Louis Bavaria Porcelain Jam Jar & Underplate

Antique porcelain covered jar with matching underplate, marked “Louis Bavaria” on the underside. Features a white porcelain body with purple berry/blackberry decoration, green leaves, scalloped edges, and generous gold trim. Includes: Covered jar with fitted lid Matching underplate/saucer Original cork stopper visible on the underside Jar measures approximately 4” tall to the rim, approximately 4.5” tall including the lid handle. Condition shows age-related wear including surface marks, discoloration, staining, and noticeable wear/loss to the gold trim. There is also a visible hairline/crack on the body of the jar. Cork shows drying and age wear. No attempt has been made to clean or restore the piece. Attractive early Bavarian porcelain piece for display or collection.
