Antique Wooden Nail Kegs & Claeys Candy Barrel | Vintage Storage Staves

Description: A collection of three vintage and antique American wooden stave storage vessels. The group features two primitive industrial nail kegs crafted with rough-cut rustic staves, twisted wire binding hoops, and aged iron rims. The third vessel is an authentic vintage advertising candy barrel made of smooth light pine staves, secured with galvanized silver metal bands and wire hoops, and complete with its original removable wooden lid disc. Dimensions: The tallest nail keg stands 21 inches high, the smaller weathered nail keg stands 16.5 inches high, and the Claeys candy barrel stands 18.5 inches high. Markings: The light pine barrel features a crisp stenciled black ink manufacturer hallmark reading "CLAEYS / Candies Since 1919 / South Bend, IN 46601". The underside of its matching lid is marked with hand-written vintage grease pencil script. The medium-sized weathered keg displays a stenciled number "6" on its upper flank. Condition: Authentic weathered and aged condition. The two primitive nail kegs show heavy historic patina, minor surface splintering, variable staining, and oxidation on the wire hoops. The Claeys advertising barrel shows excellent preservation with bright timber tone, intact metal bindings, clean interior staves, and minor peripheral wear on the lid edge.
