A rare 19th-century 5-string banjo crafted by Henry C. Dobson in New York. This antique instrument measures approximately 36 inches in length and features intricate mother-of-pearl inlays on the fretboard depicting various animals and a detailed inlay at the heel. The banjo appears to have all its strings, though tuning status is unknown. Condition is consistent with its age, showing wear, some surface cracking on the neck heel, and a tarnished pot, but retains its original charm. The maker's mark "HENRY C.
