Antique Hemingray Glass Insulators Assortment

Description: An estate assortment of twelve antique and vintage industrial glass telegraph and telephone line insulators manufactured by the historic Hemingray Glass Company. The multi-piece collection features two distinct color profiles. The clear glass grouping includes three large multi-tiered high-voltage transmission units and one smaller dome-top pony model. The blue-green grouping includes a variety of traditional double-petticoat utility styles, including standard communication lines, heavy power distributors, and textured-skirt toll models. Dimensions: The three large clear high-voltage units measure approximately 4.5 inches high by 4.75 inches in diameter. The blue-green Hemingray No. 40 units stand 4 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter. The smaller pony units stand 3.5 inches high by 2.5 inches in diameter. Markings: The industrial glass pieces feature bold molded manufacturer trademarks and model classification codes along their lower skirts. Clear styles are deeply embossed "HEMINGRAY-56" and "HEMINGRAY-71 / KIMBLE / O-1 / MADE IN U.S.A." Blue-green units feature crisp foundry text blocks reading "HEMINGRAY / No. 42", "HEMINGRAY / No. 40 (1893) ", "HEMINGRAY / No. 20", and "HEMINGRAY / No. 12". Close-up details show early historical production markings including "PATENT / MAY 2 1893"  Condition: Authentic vintage and antique industrial utility condition. The heavy glass bodies are structurally sound across the entire assortment. Widespread cosmetic weathering is present from long-term outdoor telegraph pole service, including a few chips, light surface scuffs, shallow surface impact fleabites along the upper wire grooves, and localized orange-brown iron rust staining spots settled deep within the inner threaded pinwells and lower petticoat skirts. The bottom drip rings are mostly complete with original sharp glass alignment points, though some units show typical minor edge chipping and rough flaking along the bottom petticoat margins from historical extraction and utility wear as documented in the detail photographs.
