Vintage Sportcraft Classic Four-Player Tournament Croquet Set In Box

Description: A vintage mid-century four-player lawn game set produced by the historic Sportcraft company (packaged in a companion Forster's Skowhegan box). The set features four polished hardwood mallets with striped accent bands, four matching solid polymer croquet balls in primary red, green, blue, and yellow, two multi-colored wooden goal stakes, a complete bundle of curved steel wire wickets, and a cardboard wicket distance alignment marker template. Dimensions: The wooden mallet shafts measure approximately 26 inches in length with 7.25-inch mallet heads. The complete storage carton measures 27.5 inches long by 8.5 inches wide and stands 4.25 inches high. Markings: The front face of the original travel box features bold blue and orange advertising graphics reading "Forster's SKOWHEGAN CROQUET / Made By American Workmen". The enclosed instructional booklet is explicitly titled "Tournament Croquet & Golf Rule Book". Condition: Very good vintage condition. The wooden mallet shafts and striped heads are structurally flawless and completely free of splits, cracks, or handle loose joints. The hard composite balls show a bright, high-gloss finish with only minor surface dimples and light scuffs from careful lawn use. The interior paper components, including the alignment target sheet and rule booklet, are fully intact with light natural yellowing. The retail box remains sturdy with minor surface storage wear and corner scuffs.
