Condition Overview Transition Fretwork Panels: The wood screen frames are in structurally stable vintage condition, built robustly for a commercial hospitality environment. The main openwork fretwork and turned spindle components are physically sound, though close inspection reveals a few minor surface scuffs, shallow wood nicks along the scrollwork edges, and a couple of loose or slightly separated trim pieces. The finish varies across the lot, with some panels displaying a dry matte wood tone and others featuring a thick, high-gloss dark amber commercial varnish. A light layer of storage dust is present throughout. Hardware Fittings: The brass leaf hinges installed on the paired transom screens are fully functional, showing typical surface tarnish, light oxidation, and minor grime consistent with being salvaged from a decommissioned restaurant interior.
