This collection is ideal for collectors of early American farm tools, historical cutlery, or rustic lodge wall decor. Lot Includes: 1 Antique curved hand harvest sickle with a ribbed wood handle 3 Vintage primitive long-bladed corn or brush knives 1 Antique butcher's sharpening honing steel with a turned wood handle Please review all photos carefully to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition and weathering before bidding. Condition Overview Harvest Sickle Assembly: The crescent-shaped sickle blade is structurally stable and secured to the offset iron neck by three original flat hexagonal nuts and bolts. The steel blade features a darkened patina with standard surface oxidation and minor edge dulling. The distinctively ribbed wooden handle is intact, showing natural grain wear, faint wood compression marks, and minor localized cracking consistent with heavy field use. Corn Knives & Sharpening Steel: The three long corn knives exhibit a heavily weathered appearance with uniform surface rust, pitting, and ancient sharpening scuffs along the cutting edges. The handles are tightly constructed but have been modified historically with black friction tape wrapping over the wood scales, showing wear, light tackiness, and edge fraying. The heavy-duty sharpening steel is straight and structurally sound, showing an excellent ribbed honing rod. Its turned hardwood handle is firmly attached, accented by a small square brass crossguard and a functional steel hanging loop that display light verdigris and tarnish.
