Vintage Planters Peanuts Glass Jar, General Store Canister & Butter Dish Lot

Description: A classic three-piece collection of vintage mid-century American utility kitchen storage glassware. The grouping features a large counter advertising jar from Planters Peanuts, a heavy cylindrical general store bulk candy jar with a stepped lid, and a rectangular refrigerator butter storage container with a decorative embossed lid. The butter dish lid features a high-relief fruit motif displaying cluster grapes, a pear, a peach, and an orange, flanked by a vertical fluted basin body. Dimensions: The Planters square peanut canister stands approximately 9.5 inches high to the lid knob, measuring 6.25 inches square across the base footprint. The large cylindrical candy jar stands 9.5 inches tall by 7.25 inches in diameter. The rectangular lidded butter storage dish measures 7.75 inches long by 4.25 inches wide, standing 3.5 inches high. Markings: The square advertising container is detailed across all four upper panels with bold, embossed uppercase block lettering reading "PLANTERS". The smooth underside base of the square jar contains an embossed circular trademark reading "MADE IN U.S.A.". The remaining storage pieces are unbranded by their respective historical glass foundries. Condition: Good vintage preservation state. All three heavy glass storage vessels are structurally sound with stable basin walls and clean interior floors. No large cracks or structural fractures are present across the collection. Common age-appropriate utility wear is visible under close detail inspection, including minor shelf scuffs, small manufacturing straw lines, and glass air bubbles. The separate tiered lid for the large cylindrical candy jar features a localized area of shallow rim chipping and rough flaking along its lower internal seating flange as documented in the close-up catalog photographs.
