1939 New York World's Fair Stork Club Encased Lincoln Cent

Description

Encased Lincoln wheat cent from 1939. The aluminum encasement is engraved with "New York World's Fair 1939" and "Stork Club," with a stork insignia on the left side. The center coin is a 1939 Lincoln wheat penny (one cent, United States of America) with both obverse and reverse visible, and it appears tight and original in its casing. These types of encased coins were produced as souvenirs during the 1939 New York World's Fair and are associated with the famous Stork Club in New York City. Condition appears circulated, with some tarnish and wear appropriate to age. See photos for measurements, if taken.
