Metro Stainless Steel Nesting Mixing Bowls & Star Colander Kitchen Lot

Description A highly functional 6-piece assembly of vintage and contemporary commercial-grade metal kitchenware. The cornerstone of the collection is a graduate nesting set of five stainless steel mixing bowls manufactured by Metro. The underside of the 2-quart bowl is crisply stamped with the authentic maker mark: "2 QT... METRO... STAINLESS STEEL... KOREA". These bowls feature classic deep-well profiles with flat rim collars designed for secure handling and efficient space-saving nesting storage. Accompanying the mixing set is a large, primitive vintage aluminum footed colander or strain strainer from an unknown maker. The basin is punch-perforated with an ornate, repeating five-point star graphic design. The strainer is raised by three riveted, stylized curved aluminum strap legs to ensure proper drainage. Lot Contents & Dimensions Metro Stainless Steel Nesting Bowls (5): Graduated capacities (including the explicitly stamped 2-Quart size). The largest outer nesting bowl measures approximately 11.25 inches (28.6 cm) in diameter. Primitive Aluminum Star Colander (1): Three-footed drainage basin; measures approximately 11.0 inches (27.9 cm) in diameter across the upper rim by 5.25 inches (13.3 cm) tall. Condition Report True Metal Structure: All six kitchen utility items are structurally intact, solid, and free of deep structural cracks or severe puncture damage. The riveted legs on the colander remain securely attached. True Mixing Bowl Condition: The Metro nesting bowls are in good, functional kitchen-used condition. The stainless steel retains a pleasant metallic shine, though the interior basins exhibit widespread, honest light surface scratching and swirl marks from standard wire whisks and mixing utensils. True Colander Condition & Patina: The vintage aluminum colander displays a heavily distressed, unpolished aesthetic. The exterior and interior surfaces exhibit prominent oxidation, widespread gray mineral scaling, light scuffing, and scattered dark spot blemishes consistent with long-term culinary use. The metal maintains its original shape without major structural denting or rim warping.
